Sajeda urges opposition to come to parliament
Deputy Leader of the Jatiya Sangsad Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury has reiterated her call to the opposition party to come to parliament to discuss constitution amendment, caretaker government and raise all other important issues they deem important, reports BSS.
Addressing a reception organised by Bangladesh Mohila Samity in the city Friday, she said the opposition must come to parliament to resolve political disputes.
But, even after repeated requests to come to parliament, Khaleda Zia is showing her stubborn attitude and saying 'no', which is not helpful for democracy, Sajeda said.
Bangladesh Mohila Samity accorded the reception to its worthy members on the occasion of 39th founding anniversary of the organization. On the occasion nine founding member of the Samity including Begum Sajeda Chowdhury and four others were accorded reception.
Home Minister Sahara Khatun attended the function as special guest while president of the Samity Sitara Ahsanullah was in the chair.
Parliament members Safia Khatun, Shahida Tareq Dipti, Jahanara Begum and Asma Jerin Jumu and chairman of Jatiya Mohila Sangstha Prof Momtaj Begum, former president Khaleda Sarwar, Shamsunnahar Siddique and Saida Khanam, spoke among others, on the occasion.
