Muktijoddha SKC keep title hope alive
Muktijoddha Sangsad KC kept their title hope alive in the Grameenphone Bangladesh League beating Chittagong Mohammedan SC by 2-1 goals at the Cox's Bazar Stadium Monday, reports UNB.
It was the 2nd consecutive victory for the freedom fighters team Muktijoddha in the ongoing league after beating the port city team Mohammedan SC by 6-0 goals in the first leg match.
In the day's match, national coloured medio Arman Aziz put
Muktijoddha ahead in the 10th minute and Sudanese striker James Saeed Moga doubled the margin in the 50th minute. Shahedul Alam scored the consolation goal for Chittagong Mohammedan in the 68th minute.
After the day's feat, Muktijoddha SKC remained at the 2nd slot in the league table securing 47 points from 21 outings, three points behind league leader Sk Jamal Dhanmondi Club, who bagged 50 points.

In the day's other match, Arambagh KS confirmed their survival in the Bangladesh League with a 2-0 victory over Farashganj at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
With the day's win, Arambagh KS took their tally to 24 points from 21 matches to move up to the 7th position while Farashganj remained in the danger zone with 19 points and one match to play.
After a barren first half, Nigerian Subair Mohammed Omobolaji put Arambagh KS ahead in the 67th minute by placing the ball home capitalizing on square pass of Ismael Bangoura (1-0).
In the injury time, Ismael Bangoura doubled the margin for Arambagh KS in the injury time by a placing shot off a low cross of Faisal Ahmed Emeka (2-0)..
Earlier, Farashganj's best chance came in the 77th minute when substitute forward Kalou Johnson's placing shot off a Siyo Zunapiyo pass narrowly travelled over target.
Farashganj were unfortunate in the 87th minute when Siyo Zunapiyo's head off a Rajiv cross, rebounded to the game and Kalou Johnson headed the ball wide.
