Leather Tech College clash injures 5
Dhaka, June 17 (bdnews24.com) ? At least five students of Leather Technology College have been injured in a clash at its dormitory.
The injured were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital early on Friday.
Hazaribagh police chief Mohammad Rafiqul Islam told bdnews24.com that the clash was the result of a longstanding conflict between former and current students of Qudrat-E-Khuda Hall over its control.
Equipped with clubs and sharp weapons, both the groups fought a pitched battle on Thursday night, said Rafiqul.
He said Rayhan Mahmud, 23, Ahmed Swapan, 23, Firoz Khan, 24, 'Hassan', 25, and Mahmudur Hassan were injured in the clash.
Police have been deployed at the dormitory to fend off further trouble, Rafiqul said.
