Conspiracies going on against govt: AL leaders

Dhaka city Awami League (AL) leaders said conspiracies had been going on against the government since execution of the verdict of Bangabandhu Murder Case and beginning of the war criminals trial, reports BSS.

They urged the party leaders and workers to remain alert in this regard and said all sorts of conspiracies would be buried with the help of people.

The city AL leaders were addressing an extending party meeting at its central office with acting President MA Aziz in the chair.

Dhaka city AL General Secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Vice-president Mukul Chowdhury and leaders Faiz Uddin Miah, Bazlur Rahman, Awlad Hossain, Shah Alam Murad and Abdul Haque Sabuj, among others, attended the meeting.

The meeting was organised with a view to making successful the memorial meeting to be held tomorrow (Monday) at Bangabandhu International Conference Center marking the 35th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.

Prime Minister and President of Bangladesh Awami League Sheikh Hasina is expected to present at the meeting as chief guest.

AL presidium member and deputy leader of the House Sajeda Chowdhury, Economist Abul Barkat and litterateur Selina Hossain and national leaders will address the meeting.
